This home had 1.5 acres of land, however the previous owners let upkeep go and it become so overgrown that the land was not usable. The redesign had a construction bobcat come in and plow down everything that was below 3″ in diameter. By doing this you open up the space and by removing all the vines and small saplings you remove the small stuff that competes with the larger trees and in turn make the bigger trees healthy and stronger. Then a layer of topsoil was laid down and real grass seed was planted to provide a natural and permanent growth of grass. Now all the acreage is usable and enjoyable. The backyard went from an overgrown patch of vines and throns to a natural park effect. Adirondack chairs were added for seating, a good old fashion tire swing hung from a tree and an area for sports nets for practice.
